A onesie DIY

My sister-in-law had a baby recently and we are beyond thrilled! I was feeling crafty lately (not in the scheming way crafty but the needle and thread way... or maybe I was...?) and wanted to make something special but not toooo fancy because I knew baby clothes last like 10 seconds and get vomit and all sorts of bodily fluids.

His name is Xavier and I thought a big X would be super fun and graphic for a onesie. I got a blank American Apparel onesie, some gray felt, and red thread and went to town. Using a paper template for the X, I cut out the X in the felt and simply made a stitch with the bright red thread by hand (it was just as easy as lugging out my sewing machine, threading it, etc.) Voila. Super easy and I love how it turned out!
